Hi Beautiful! Have you already chosen your word of the year? No? Perfect ! Because here I tell you how to choose your word of the year and what to use it for!! ;)
The other day we saw How to make a review of your year and set new goals for 2018! I recommend you read that post as well, since it will be helpful to choose your word too!
But what is Your word of the year? and How can it help you to have one?
It’s a word that you choose to help you and inspire you everyday to achieve all your goals! It helps you focus on them in your day to day and remember what’s really important to you! It may be something that you lack in your life or that you want to enhance more like love, strength or success in your life!
Or even something you want to avoid such as clutter or laziness and You choose a word that encourages you to avoid it as cleaning, action or transformation!
It will be very useful especially for those more stressful days, when it seems that everything is going wrong or is more difficult! So you can focus on the little things and on taking little steps to achieve your goals!
And how do I choose my word?
To choose your word, it’s best to take a look at your goals, your life and your way of doing things! Because not every word will work for you, choose one that really has a great symbolism and really helps you!
So let’s see what you really want! Grab a notebook and write …
What are your wishes and goals for this new year?
How do you want to feel every day? What do these feelings symbolize for you?
What would you like to change in your life?
What has really gone bad in recent years? And why do you think you have not managed to change it?
What do you need to do to make all these dreams come true?
Your word has to make you feel good in all aspects of your life! Inspire and motivate you to work hard and achieve your goals !! Do not despair! Follow your intuition to choose your word and it will be right one!
And now what do I do with it?
If you have already found your word of the year Congratulations !! Now don’t forget it! As well as choosing and setting goals, it is useless if you forget them in a couple of days!
That’s why I recommend that you write it in several places! You can make some cards with your word and leave them in your bag, bedsides your bed, calendar, your desk and other important places! If you are more creative you can also make a mural for your word with magazine cutouts or painting with various colors!
What works best for me to remember my word is a small symbol like these bracelets from my Words collection! They are ideal to bring your word always with you (and no one asks you why you have Clean writed on your bracelet when everyone knows you are super messy … or something like that!)
